iOS Health App — Case Study & Redesign (Part 1)
Understanding health statuses from data is confusing and requires health knowledge. This limits user engagement. By making health status personalized, easier to understand, and act on, we can improve iOS Health App Daily Active Users (DAUs).
Not gonna lie, this is actually one of my interview assignments. But meh, I'll just share it here because everyone can benefit from this sharing.
BRIEF
The iOS Health App is one of the lowest-performing products in the Apple ecosystem. Users only check this summary from time to time. As Apple’s Product Designer, reposition the app to be more robust, by improving existing experience or introducing new features to drive overall Daily Active Users (DAU).
METHOD
With time restrictions, I plan to do only selective design thinking methods to finish this challenge.
COMPETITOR RESEARCH
Analysis of competing health and fitness apps was conducted to collect insights into the competitive landscape and identify areas for improvement.
UNDERSTANDING THE USERS
To gain an understanding of user behavior and preferences, I interviewed two of my colleagues who use this app. My goal was to gather insights into their usage patterns, motivations, and pain points that prevent them from using the app on a daily basis.
